Thanks to AFC supporters like you, the word is getting out here in Indianapolis about the NRA’s open support of ‘Red Flag Gun Seizure’ legislation!
AFC volunteers have been here in Indianapolis all weekend working to expose the NRA’s betrayal, so that gun owners have the facts — and to make sure President Trump knows that the NRA does not speak for all gun owners!
We’ve been doing live updates all weekend via Facebook live, reaching hundreds of thousands of gun owners.
We have already passed out over 15,000 flyers to rank and file gun owners detailing the NRA’s past support for Senator Dianne Feinstein’s FIX-NICS Act, the bump stock ban, and now ‘Red Flag Gun Seizure’ legislation.
More, we’ve ensured that these banners have been seen by tens of thousands of gun owners, as they walk back and forth between the Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium.
But what has the NRA top brass absolutely melting down is our ‘Freedom Flight,’ the plane that we chartered to fly 1000 feet over downtown Indianapolis yesterday, urging President Trump to reject the NRA and veto ‘Red Flags!’
But we’re not done yet!
As we told you yesterday, our pilot is able to stay airborne with our message all day today — if we are able to fund it!
As you can imagine, it’s not cheap. In fact, it’s $500 p/hr to keep this message flying above the NRA’s convention.
But this is our chance to force the NRA to apologize for backing ‘Red Flag Gun Seizures’ and to force them to engage their members to help us stop this legislation before it leaves the Senate Judiciary Committee!
Otherwise, it seems all but certain that we will see some form of this legislation pass into law this year.
We had reserved the plane for Friday alone, but thanks to some very generous donors who reached out to us last night, we were able to extend the flight time for part of today.
In fact, the plane just went airborne 20 minutes ago!
We want to keep this plane flying all day, if possible, to make sure that every gun owner who attends the NRA convention has the facts.
But we need your help to fund this critical program!
Keeping this plane in the air helps us do three things:
First, it allows us to communicate with President Trump, letting him know that the NRA is giving him bad policy advice and equally bad political advice!
This may result in President Trump publicly opposing this bill, which will protect gun owners and Trump in the upcoming election.
Second, it allows us to expose the NRA in front of 80,000 gun owners, which is our best chance to force them to apologize for their decision and to join us in opposing ‘Red Flags.’
Third, it gives gun owners hope knowing that there is an organization that is willing to fight for gun owners no matter what!
But we need your help to keep the plane in the air!
For $500, we can keep this plane flying for an hour, having our message seen by tens of thousands!
For $250, the pilot can stay up there for 30 minutes, reaching large numbers of people.
For $125, he’s good to go for 15 minutes.
This is historic stuff!
Our country is on the verge of passing the worst gun control bill that we’ve seen in decades.
